What Yantra Bhavan is
The two sides of the marketplace, the words you will see on screen, and which track to read next.
Yantra Bhavan connects people who need parts made with the workshops that can make them. If you have a design and no machine, you are a buyer. If you have machines and spare capacity, you are a seller. The same account can be both.
What happens between the two sides
A buyer uploads a design and asks for a price. Workshops that can actually make that part — the right process, the right material, the right size — see the request and respond with a price and a delivery date. The buyer picks one, pays, and the workshop makes it and ships it.
The five words worth learning first
Everything else in the handbook is built out of these. Each one is a screen you can open.
- Part — one design you own. You upload it once and it stays yours; you can ask for a price on it as many times as you like, this month or next year.
- Project — a folder for grouping Parts, nothing more. Deleting a project never deletes the parts inside it.
- RFQ — a Request For Quotation. One request for a price, taken against a Part and sent to workshops you choose. A Part can have many RFQs over its life.
- Order — what an RFQ becomes once you accept a price and pay. From here it is a real job on a real machine.
- Shop — a seller's workshop on the marketplace: its machines, its materials and its prices.
Which track should you read?
The two tracks describe the same workflow from opposite ends, so reading a little of the other side is usually worth the ten minutes — a buyer who knows why a seller asks for a tolerance writes better requests, and a seller who knows what a buyer sees when comparing quotes writes better ones.

What Yantra Bhavan does not do
It does not design parts for you, and it does not hold your money in escrow. It does not decide who wins a job — sellers price their own work and buyers choose. Prices you see are the seller's own, and the marketplace does not negotiate on your behalf.
