Yantra Bhavan vs Xometry

Xometry is bigger. We are Indian, and the price shows before the file moves.

The largest network in the category, with certifications we do not hold and a quote flow that starts with an upload.

The short version

Xometry is the biggest custom-manufacturing marketplace there is, and if your part needs an ISO 13485, AS9100D or ITAR-covered supplier, it is the right answer and we are not.

We are an Indian marketplace across eight processes, quoting in rupees with a GST invoice, and our estimate appears before the file leaves your browser.

The honest summary: they are broader and more credentialled; we are local, and cheaper to try because seeing a number costs you nothing.

The upload is the difference, and it is not a small one

Every marketplace in this comparison, ours included, eventually needs your file to make the part. The question is what has to happen before you can see a number. On Xometry the file goes up first and the price follows. Here the geometry is measured by your browser and priced against each workshop’s rate card, so you can check whether a design is affordable while you are still deciding whether to build it — and if the answer is no, nothing was ever sent.

Certifications are a real gap, not a positioning choice

Xometry leads with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100D and ITAR because regulated buyers cannot proceed without them. We hold none of those. If your part is going into a medical device, an aircraft or anything export-controlled, that is the end of the comparison and Xometry is your answer. We would rather write that sentence than have you discover it after a quotation.

Fewer processes, and the list is exact

Xometry runs more than 20 processes; we run 8. What we can say precisely is which files each of ours reads, because the pages are generated from the same table the uploader enforces — STL, STEP, STP, DXF, and nothing else. We do not do injection moulding, sheet-metal forming or PCB assembly, and a STEP assembly is refused rather than quietly mis-quoted.

Pick Yantra Bhavan when

You are buying in India, you want the price in rupees with a GST invoice, and you would rather see an indicative number while the design is still open than upload a file to find out.

Pick Xometry when

You need a certified supplier — ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100D or ITAR — or a process we do not run, such as injection moulding, sheet-metal forming or die casting. Xometry lists those certifications on its own home page; we hold none of them.
