Setting up your shop
Pick a plan, clear the four-step verification wizard, then activate payouts — and what blocks you at each step.
Getting a shop live takes five things in order: a plan, the four-step verification wizard, a fresh sign-in, Razorpay KYC, and at least one Rate Card. Skip any of them and you will be listed but invisible, or visible but unable to be paid.
Choose a plan
Open Plans and subscribe. Plans differ in what they unlock, and some features — the Production Floor in particular — are only on the higher ones.Activation can take a moment after payment. Stay on the page until it confirms rather than reloading.
Complete Vendor verification
Four steps, in this order: business details (legal name, business type, contact, GSTIN and PAN, and what you make), your shop (the storefront name and description buyers see), pickup address, and payout account. The page is headed Vendor verification even though the rest of the product says “seller”. It is the same thing.
Sign in again
Finishing the wizard signs you out. This is intentional — your account only picks up its new seller permissions on a fresh sign-in — but it is abrupt if you are not expecting it.Signing back in lands you on Overview.
Activate payouts with Razorpay KYC
This is not part of the wizard. Go to Settlements and complete the regulatory onboarding there. Until it is done you can take orders but cannot withdraw the money. The KYC banner disappears and Request Withdrawal becomes available. Only the shop owner can withdraw.
Declare what you can make
Add your machines under Equipment, your stock under Materials, and a Rate Card for each machine-and-material pair. Covered in Rate Cards, Equipment and Materials. With at least one active Rate Card, buyers requesting that process and material start seeing your shop.
What blocks you, and how to tell which
If your shop is not receiving requests, it is almost always one of these five, in this order:
- No active subscription. Nothing else works without one.
- The verification wizard is unfinished. Coming back later resumes where you left off.
- No Rate Card. Equipment and materials alone do not make you findable — a Rate Card is what says you will do this work at this price.
- Razorpay KYC is incomplete. Orders can arrive, but money cannot leave.
- Automated payments are not switched on. Until they are, you confirm payment on each order by hand.
Your storefront
The Shop page is what a buyer sees when they look you up: your name, description, city and what you make. Buyers comparing three shops read this before deciding who to trust with a drawing, so a specific description — “CNC and sheet metal for automotive prototypes, Pune, since 2014” — does more than a generic one.
In short
Plan, then wizard, then sign in again, then Razorpay KYC, then Rate Cards. Next: telling the marketplace what you can make.
