Status reference

One table per object — Part, RFQ, Order, production — giving each status, what it means, and what moves it on.

Every status in the product, what it means, and what moves it on. If you are looking at a word on a screen and want to know what it is waiting for, it is in one of these tables.

A Part

Seen by buyers, in Parts.

Status	What it means	What moves it on
Draft	Created, not yet complete enough to send to a workshop.	Fill in the process, material and quantity.
Ready	It has what a workshop needs to price it.	Request quotes.
Quoting	At least one request is live and waiting on workshops.	A workshop responds, or you accept one.
In production	An order raised from this part is being made.	The workshop finishes and ships it.
Completed	An order from this part was delivered.	Nothing. You can still re-quote the part.
Archived	Hidden from the list. Nothing is deleted.	Show archived parts with the filter to bring it back.

An RFQ, as the buyer sees it

In Active RFQs.

Status	What it means	What moves it on
Requested	Sent. The workshop has not replied yet.	The workshop prices it.
Awaiting review	The workshop has sent a price and is waiting on you.	You accept, counter, or ask a question.
Countered	You asked for a change and the workshop is considering it.	The workshop revises its price.
Accepted	You accepted. An order exists.	Pay at checkout.
Rejected	Turned down, by you or the workshop.	Nothing. Raise a new request if you want to try again.

An RFQ, as the seller sees it

Column names on the RFQs board.

Status	What it means	What moves it on
Requested	New. Open the files and work out a price.	Edit the Bill of Materials and save.
Awaiting review	Your price is with the buyer.	The buyer accepts, counters, or goes quiet.
Customer countered	The buyer wants a change. Your move.	Revise the Bill of Materials.
Proposal Ready	A final price is agreed.	The buyer converts it to an order.
Authorized	The buyer confirmed.	Go to Orders and start production.
Declined	Turned down, by you or the buyer.	Nothing.
Archived	Closed and kept for the record.	Nothing.

An Order

The same order, shown to the buyer in Orders and driven by the seller from the order page.

Status	What it means	What moves it on
Order Received	The order exists and is waiting for payment.	The buyer pays at checkout.
Payment Confirmed	Payment has cleared.	The seller presses Start Production.
In Production	Being made. Covers printing, machining and cutting alike.	The work completes on the Production Floor.
Quality Check	The seller is inspecting the parts.	The seller presses Finalize Packing.
Packed	Packed and waiting for the courier.	The seller presses Dispatch Package.
Shipped	In transit, with tracking on the order.	The courier delivers it.
Delivered	Arrived. The end of the flow.	Nothing — but raise anything wrong with the seller.
Cancelled	Stopped before completion.	A refund, if money had been taken.
Refunded	Money returned to the buyer.	Nothing.

A machine on the Production Floor

Sellers only, on plans that include the floor.

Status	What it means	What moves it on
Idle	Free and able to take the next job.	The floor places work on it.
Running	Working on a job right now.	It finishes and waits for you.
Needs you	Finished or stopped, waiting on a person.	Confirm the run good or bad.
Paused	You paused it. Runs already on it will finish.	Resume it.
Error	The machine or its agent reported a failure.	Fix it, then mark the machine clear.
Maintenance	Held out of service by you.	Release the hold.
Offline	Not reachable — usually the agent is not running.	Start the agent, or check the machine is switched on.
Retired	Taken out of the fleet for good.	Nothing. It can be deleted after retiring.
