Troubleshooting slicer connections
What each refused upload means — expired link, lost file name, revoked key, plan change — and the one thing to do about it.
Checked on any, 2026-09-30.
The slicer says the link has expired or is not recognised
The message reads: This file's Yantra link has expired or is not recognised. Download the model again from the quotation and re-slice it.
The YB-… code in a file's name is valid for 6 hours after you open it from the quote. Choose Open in on the quote again, re-slice, and send. Nothing from the refused upload is kept.
The slicer says the quotation or file has changed
The quotation or file this model was downloaded for has changed. Download it again. The buyer replaced the part's file, or the quote changed, after you opened it. Open it again from the quote so you slice the current file.
The slicer says the file was downloaded for a different shop
The file was opened from another shop's account, and the key in this slicer belongs to yours. If you run more than one shop, use a separate key — and a separate printer entry in the slicer — for each.
The slicer says the bill of materials can no longer be changed
The quote has been accepted or closed, so nothing can be added to it, including a draft from your slicer. The price you sent stands.
The upload worked, but no draft line appeared
On Slicer connections, the key's Last upload will read Waiting in inbox. The file arrived without its YB-… code — usually because the output name template dropped it, or the file was renamed — so it could not be matched to a quote. Nothing is priced against a guess.
Such a file cannot be attached to a quote from the dashboard. To fix it: open the file again from the quote, check your output name template keeps , and send it again. Setting up the strip tool prevents this, because it writes the code inside the file as well as in its name.
The slicer says the file cannot be read
Most often this is binary G-code (.bgcode), which can't be read. Turn binary G-code off in the printer profile you send to Yantra Bhavan. The same error appears if the file is not G-code, is over 64 MB, or has no slicer summary in it.
The connection test fails after it used to work
Check the key on Slicer connections:
- Revoked. A revoked key is refused from the very next request. Connect a new one and paste it into the slicer.
- Rotated. Rotating replaces the key, and the old one stops working. Paste the new key into the slicer.
- Plan changed. If your plan no longer includes integrations, uploads are refused with This shop has no active plan that permits integrations. Your keys are not deleted — they work again when the plan includes integrations. You can still rotate and revoke meanwhile.
The wrong program opened the buyer's file
When your slicer can't be launched directly, the file is saved and your computer opens it in whatever program is set for that file type — often whichever slicer was installed last. Open the saved file from inside the slicer you want, or change your computer's default for that file type. See opening a buyer's file in your slicer.
The model opened empty in OrcaSlicer
OrcaSlicer 2.4.2 saves an empty file when opened from a link. 2.5.0-dev loads it correctly. Update OrcaSlicer.
