The quote widget on your website

Put your quotation form on your own site: choose where it may appear, what it offers, and how buyers sign in, send and accept.

The quote widget puts your quotation form on your own website. Buyers upload a model, see an estimate from your published rate cards, and send the request to your shop and no other. You reply with a quotation as usual, and the buyer accepts it without leaving your site.

Set it up

  1. Open RFQ Widget and find Website widget. These settings belong to the shop you have selected, so each shop has its own widget.
  2. Under Allowed websites, add each site the widget will appear on, as an address only, such as https://www.yourshop.com. The widget will not load on any other site.
  3. Choose the processes it offers, whether buyers see an instant estimate, and whether a bot check runs before a request is sent (we recommend keeping it on). Save.
  4. Copy the snippet with the copy button and paste it into your page where the form should appear. Website builders usually call this an HTML or embed block.

On WordPress or Shopify there is nothing to paste: see the quote widget on WordPress and the quote widget on Shopify.

What your buyer sees

The figure in the widget is labelled Estimate. It comes from your rate cards and is never a price you are bound to. Your quotation is the price. When the buyer presses Send, a small sign-in window opens. Once they sign in, the request goes to your shop, and you get the usual quotation email.

When you have replied with a quote, the buyer opens Your quotes in the widget and accepts it. That creates the order, and it shows in your orders like any other. See winning RFQs for replying well.

If something does not work

  • The form is blank on your site: the address in your browser bar must match an allowed website exactly, including www and https.
  • The sign-in window does not open: the buyer's browser blocked the pop-up. The widget then offers a Continue in a new tab link.
