Yantra Bhavan vs Prusa Connect
Keep Prusa Connect. Add the machines it will never see.
Free, polished, EU-hosted and excellent — as long as every machine on your floor is a Prusa.
The short version
Prusa Connect is the best vendor console in this category: free with the printer, camera streaming, team accounts, two-factor authentication, a cloud slicer, and AI detection of a failing print.
It manages Prusa machines. That is the boundary, and it is a deliberate one.
We manage every machine on the floor and none of them exclusively, and we do not drive any of them.
Side by side
| Yantra Bhavan | Prusa Connect | |
|---|---|---|
| Processes managed | Eight processes — 3D printing, CNC milling and turning, laser and plasma cutting, waterjet, drag knife, and wire EDM — each with its own operation template. | Prusa 3D printers. |
| Other manufacturers | Any unit you register, whatever the make — the fleet is described by capability, not by brand. | Prusa machines. |
| Driving the machine | We do not drive your machines. Production Floor plans and tracks the work; the operator starts the job and confirms the good count. | Sends and manages jobs on the printer, streams the camera, and flags a print that has gone wrong. |
| Where the work comes from | Orders arrive from the Yantra Bhavan marketplace. You do not need a storefront of your own for work to appear in the queue. | Files you upload yourself. |
| Cost | Part of a Yantra Bhavan partner plan, billed per seat in INR. | Free with the printer. |
Do not replace something free that works
If every machine you own is a Prusa, Connect is not a compromise you are making — it is the better tool, and free. The moment it stops being enough is the moment a second make of machine arrives, or a mill, and you find yourself reconciling two systems by eye. That is the only argument we have here, and it does not apply until it does.
A vendor console cannot describe a fleet it does not sell
The reason Connect is so good with a Prusa is the same reason it will never see your laser cutter: it is built around one manufacturer’s machines. Production Floor’s registry describes units by what they can do, which is what lets one queue hold a print, a milling job and a waterjet cut.
Pick Yantra Bhavan when
Your floor has more than one make of machine, or more than one kind of machine, and you want the orders too.
Pick Prusa Connect when
Your farm is Prusa. Connect costs nothing, is hosted in the EU, and is better integrated with those printers than any third party will ever be. There is no reason to pay anyone — including us — for what it already does.
