Polar Cloud is a school product first: class rosters, student accounts, single sign-on and a privacy posture certified for use with children.
It is multi-brand and it does distribute jobs across available printers rather than making a teacher pick one.
It is not a commercial shop tool: no orders, no invoicing, no process beyond printing.

Two products that both care about who is allowed to do what
Polar Cloud and Production Floor are unusual in this category for taking access seriously — most of it assumes one trusted operator. The difference is the organisation being modelled. Theirs is a school: classes, students, teachers, and a duty of care that shapes the whole product. Ours is a shop: roles, invitations, per-seat billing, and permissions checked on the server because money moves through them.
No orders, and that is not a criticism
A classroom does not have customers, so Polar Cloud has no reason to model an order, a delivery date or an invoice. A shop has nothing but those. That is the whole of why the two products look different, and it is why "which is better" is the wrong question here.
