3DPrinterOS is what large organisations buy: hundreds of universities and enterprises, single sign-on, granular permissions, and per-user accounting of who printed what.
Its access model is the only one in this category that seriously competes with ours, and on identity it is ahead — we have no SAML.
It is also printers only, quoted rather than priced, and does not bring you work.

Their access model is the real competition, and it beats ours on identity
Most of this category has one login and a shared password taped to a monitor. 3DPrinterOS does not: it has single sign-on, real roles and per-user accounting, because a university with four hundred students has no other option. Production Floor has shops, named roles, invitations and per-seat billing, enforced on the server — but no SAML and no directory sync. If your organisation provisions users centrally, that is a genuine gap on our side.
A campus is not a shop
Their product is shaped by who queues the work: students submitting files, staff approving them, a lab manager reconciling usage. A commercial shop’s problem is the opposite — the work arrives from customers with a delivery date attached, and the question is which machine and by when. That is what a dispatcher is for, and why our queue is scheduling rather than approval.
